Got this form the webshop. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a tulip glass
Canned 11 January 2022
ABV: 6%
Core Tryouts Batch 1
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear dark brown and yields a two finger, looser looking, crackly, potholed brown head with okay retention. Black body with medium carbonation evident. Head crackles down to a solid foamy cap and clings to the glass, then recedes to a ring. A faint ring remains until the end leaving no real lacing on the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Medium strength nose with roasted malts, creamy espresso coffee, light hints of milk chocolate and a bit of vanilla cream on the nose. Plenty of coffee character.
TASTE: Definite espresso coffee up front, with some roasted flavors, some milk chocolate and cacao powder, with some bitter, roasted malts at the swallow. Bold finish is bitter and plenty roasted with espresso coffee, vanilla cream, some milk chocolate, and bitter, roasted malts lingering on the palate. Flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy and smooth on the palate, goes down fine and finishes a touch dry. Some solid roasted bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Good beer for sure. This comes across almost like an Irish dry stout with a pumped up, export-style ABV. It’s got plenty of flavor with a solid array of roasted and bitter qualities to it. Knowing how spoiled I am with all their lovely, higher ABV imperial stouts, I have to admit that this one comes across a little lighter than what I’d like. If you’re a fan of medium abv coffee stouts, this stuff is top notch. If you’re like me though, you love De Moersleutel for their bruisers and would rather drop cash on any one of their imperial gems.

Brouwerij De Moersleutel
Canned and part of a beer 52
Pours a jet black body with mahoosive lovely thick tan head
Aroma is good bean ground coffee joe
Flavour is a touch of vanilla with that ramped up full filter coffee goodness, just a tiny bite of caramel sweetness then a big bitter boot
Has that proper stout body stout body
