Got this from the webshop. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a snifter
Canned 9 February 2022
ABV: 8%
Core Tryouts Batch #1
APPEARANCE: Pours a 2+ finger, medium looking, frothy, foamy white head with good retention. Cloudy citrine yellow with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a frothy, foamy cap and leaves foamy lacing on the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving some nice lacing on the glass as it empties. Good looking.
SMELL: Bold nose with lots of tropical fruits. Pineapple, mango, passion fruit for sure, with hints of caramel and bubble gum as well. Bold and enticing. Outstanding.
TASTE: Passion fruit, mango, pineapple, and lots of tropical fruits up front and into the swallow. Lots of fruit on this one, with a bold, fruity finish of mango, pineapple, tropical flavors, passion fruit, light caramel sweetness and a touch of booze linger on the palate. Lots of the good stuff going on here.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Slightly creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes a touch mouth-coating on the palate. A touch of heat lingers.
OVERALL: Excellent stuff. Really lovely, and plenty fruity, as advertised. This one’s got lots of tropical character everywhere with a nice punch of alcohol to boot. They call this a “tryout” beer but as far as I’m concerned, it’s just a winning 8% DIPA recipe that will always work, no matter how you tweak it. Highly recommended. Cheers!
