Copenhagen 15/7 2023, 44 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Moersleuthel's take on the Seven Deadly Sins. Amager has been here before with their Seven Sinner Series. Rough drawing of a troll-like figure with a Fools hat on the can.
Pours slightly unclear yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles and thin, unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with citrus fruit. Sweet bread, toffee and lightly toasted malts. Grapefruit and lemon. Dry vibe.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a redeeming sweet undertone.Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Solid rye Indian Pale Ale with a malty backbone and a bitter bite.
