Did you know that Saturn is the second-largest planet in our solar system? That inspired us to create a mega pastry bomb, as grand and rich as the ringed giant itself.
This brew surpasses various Moersleutel “never befores” all in one glass.
Never before did we use this many kilos of cocoa beans in a single batch, selecting our favorites from Mexico, Cuba, and Madagascar. Never before did we use this much coffee, doubling our usual amount sourcing the finest beans from Brazil, Ecuador and Ethiopia. And if that weren’t enough, we soaked coconut flakes for over a month, extracting the unparalleled depth of coconut essence.
But we didn’t stop there. Our recipe contains an ultra complex grainbill, we’ve added a lot of vanilla and a hint of tonka beans. You’re getting a taste experience of cosmic proportions. We believe the ringed planet would be proud. Cheers to many more years of Moersleutel brews.

Copenhagen 17/8 2024. 44 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Grey can with Moersleutel pretty cool logo with the wrench at the top and a rendering of beautiful Saturn.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin but unbroken layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary sweet odor of dark malts and candy store mingling with alcohol. Caramel, toffee and milk chocolate. Chocolate cake, bounty chocolate bar and brown sugar. Dark alcohol. Liqueur.
Soft carbonation.Thick. oily, soft, a bit sticky, viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary. Touch of alcohol. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry and boozy.
A boozy box of candy.

A beer with a little bit of everything (barley, rye, wheat, spelt, coconut, etc…). and it tastes like it. A strong bite upfront that quickly falls away to sweet coconut and chocolate flavours. A little heavy on the flavouring, but that seems to be what the brewer was aiming for.
