Tap pour at La Houblonniere, Toulouse, France. They say this is a ‘Creme Brulee’ Stout.
Not much foam on muddy brew.
Nose is dark stone fruit, dark chocolate.
Taste follows - it is a well-made American-style Imperial Pastry Stout, but the ‘creme brulee’ vanilla flavor is missing. Very very sweet and toes up to cloying. Needed a water chaser.,.
Heavy mouthfeel. Low gurgle of carbonation.
Overall, good base Stout, adjunct shy.
