Another New England style IPA. We use a simple grain bill and significant portion of flaked oats. Simcoe and Citra hops work in harmony for huge flavors and aroma's of evergreen, melon, guava, citrus, and passion fruit. Unfined and Unfiltered.

Had the opportunity to try this at Toronado during SF Beer Week. Mind you I had a pint after drinking Pliny the Younger but that did not detract from the delicious juicy flavor experience.

Hazy yellow with 3 fingers of white head.
Smells of melon, lemon, liquid paper, and linen.
The taste follows the nose with hints of rubbing alcohol.
Light, medium body with little to moderate carbonation.
I got this in Sacramento and am drinking it in Redding, Feb 17th, 2023.

Hazy tan in appearance. Hoppy smell. Hoppy, hazy, and bitter notes. Chewy mouthfeel.

Dirty, hazy gold color, nothing unusual nor unexpected, finger worth of head with good retention. Piercing herbaceousness in the nose, close to marijuana, cracker, tar resin, citrus is forward, offering grapefruit, orange zest accents, the white pit fruit to papaya fruit woven enough into the whole such that you need to actively look for it. Medium-bodied, compact and smooth, nice prickle from the carbonation. Leans towards a drier texture, thus the peach, pineapple, guava fruit never makes a bold statement. More floral towards the finish. The leafy, herbaceous component comes off as haphazard. Oddly hollow mid-palate. In the final analysis, the dryness accrues too much to sustained enjoyment.

Appearance - Pours dull hazy yellow with a nice white cap that settles to a thin ring. Spotty lacing.
Aroma - Earthy hops, onion, grapefruit, lemon, nice spiciness.
Taste - Nice mixture of orange, grapefruit, floral/earthy hops.
Feel - Medium bodied good carbonation slightly dry finish.
Overall - Well done IPA, nice flavors a little thin for a NEIPA.

Canned 11/28/19. Bought rather quick and should have put two and two together realizing the age on the can. Oh well, let us see how it goes.
L: Staw yellow in color. Hazy appearance, but a little more on the unfiltered size, I presume due to age. Whopping amounts of a loosely packed 3 finger head with ample lacing. Look-wise, it doesn't appear to be oxidized but presents itself well.
S: Notes of melon, lemon, black pepper and tangerine. Slightly biscuity malt presence. Nice smelling beer, especially considering age.
T: The age is most evident on the flavor, which is expected. Slightly metallicy with flavors of apricot, lemon, and grapefruit. Yeast present apparent, just has an astringency that I know is associated with age. I will say, given the age, this beer still tastes extremely drinkable, which is why I am still being generous on the flavor.
F: Medium in body, light in weight. Moderate carbonation.
O: All I can say is I bet this was superb fresh. I almost feel bad rating a beer from past November, but it's part of the game. I would like to try this fresh given the citra & simcoe combo. Regardess, it is drinkable and I am enjoying it. Cheers!

Had on tap at Moonraker...not as impressed with this iteration of an hazy IPA from Moonraker. It has a decent tropical, fruity nose, but lacks in the finish and doesn't hide the bitterness enough. Not a go to...

Can poured into a Russian River Brewing Co pub glass
A: Pours super hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely.
S: Ripe tropical fruit, some citrus, a little pine, faint yeast presence, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical fruit, mango, passion fruit, peach, apricot, lychee, guava, and faint melon, citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, and lemon, some spicy pine, a bit yeasty, biscuity malt, a little wheat twang, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Not quite as clean as I was expecting for a Citra and Simcoe beer, I'm guessing it's from the yeast. Other than that, the hop flavor and intensity is great, like you'd expect from a Moonraker IPA
