Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: A little pine, ripe tropical and stone fruit, citrus, slight floral notes, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Quick hit of resinous pine, followed by tropical and stone fruit, peach, passion fruit, mango, apricot, citrus, orange and a little lemon and lime, slightly floral, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: I wouldn't mind it a little dryer, or just a bit more pine to make it a bit more West Coast, but as it stands, really solid IPA.

Already over a month old when it arrived. If they're gonna distro this, it's fair game. Slight hazy golden body, otherwise clear. Pine, a bit of citrus and grapefruit. Medium caramel. West coast IPA. Lighter med carb. A bit stale, sweeter than I'd like.

Poured from a can- clear orange/gold with short white head leaving minimal lacing. Looks ,smells and tastes like a proper WC IPA. Not really exciting but very competent. Wouldn't hesitate to drink again.

Looks like I drank this for the first time in November 2017. Prolly finishes below Moonraker average compared to their other hoppy offerings.
Pours yellow/gold with an impressive amount of clarity. 1/3" white head. Has a hoppy aroma of somewhat non distinct aroma hops, which at this point, Amarillo can go a bunch of different ways, but seems to pair up with Citra for that grassy hay kind of covering around your citrus trees on a chilly night.
Taste is decent, standard west coast ipa stuff, pale toasted honey malt and 2 row, dry mouth feel, plenty of dry Simcoe bitterness. The Citra doesn't drape itself all over the taste, the majority of it affects the aroma but not as much in the taste. Hits of pine, grapefruit for the most part, a little bit of candied orange after that. Its a solid west coast ipa, where it gets slightly iffy is the re-up, at $4 a can, there are prolly slightly better cans at Moonraker than this one that is still pretty good.

Admittedly biased toward west coast ipa’s...
I bought a four pack. The black can with the breaching orca was incredible. Perfect clear light gold color. Plenty of hop on the finish and just a glimmer of something sweet like vanilla (?) and then it’s gone. So tasty I went back for 16 more cans. The best wcipa I’ve had in awhile, and I’ve had a few.

Poured into a tulip glass. Crystal clear amber color with half finger head. Not use to clear beers from Moonraker. Smells of pine, malt, lemon, and hops. Very subtle citrus sweetness. Tastes mainly of pine, yeast, malt with slightest amount of citrus. Don't really taste the hops until the finish. Good amount of carbonation with a light to medium bodied feel.

Anytime I crack open a Moonraker IPA I usually expect haze but that's not outrigger. Pours a translucent light straw color with a thinner bright white head. Nose is of sharp pine bark, grass and pale malt. Taste pine forward. Both bark and sap. A bite of light citrus shows up middle to back end of the beer. Nice mellow pale malt base that helps break up the earthy pine that dominates this beer. Lighter body with fair amount of bubbly carbonation. It's a decent left coast IPA, a nice change of pace from the juice.
