Well as I was writing the review for this, power went out and now I'm starting over. Big snowstorm hit last night. Anyways, this was the 5th beer of a 6 beer flight at Moonraker. Pours a hazy yellow, 1/3" white head. Aroma pops for those Nelson hops, possibly my favorite hop to use, it had all that humid funky armpit meets marijuana equatorial feel cousing of Mosaic down under vibe to it. Also has Citra to even it out with a slightly sweeter citrus aroma.
Taste, I believe this might be the first NE IPA I've had that is hopped with Nelson. Pretty cool. Whereas some other ones have a slight brassy bitterness alongside the Nelson hop. There is a bunch of different hop flavors, stone fruit, citrus, tropical, sweetgrass, even a slight white grape aspect to it. The flaked base also contributes to the smoothness, its like there are almost no boil/bittering hops used here.
Another winner from Moonraker. Now its time to can this (maybe they have already, I dunno, haven't seen it). If they gave Amelia a canning, they should give this one too since its even better.
