Dark and thick with a dense dark brown head. Nose is filled with bourbon, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Tastes sweet and very roasty with a heavy bourbon taste. Some chocolate, coffee and vanilla are there as well. Overall nice beer.

Had on-tap at Moonraker Brewing in Auburn, CA
Appearance - Served in a 10oz nonic glass, pitch black with cola brown edging where light can penetrate. Barren surface with a razor thin ring around the edge if the glass. No lacing, but none expected.
Smell - Chocolatey with molasses sweetness. Vanilla. Light roast. Oak and bourbon sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Chocolate and some roast upfront before a strong molasses base takes hold. Notes of vanilla and toasted oak come through, but the overall impression in the finish is sweet, sugary molasses.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Thick, slightly syrupy texture before a warm, drying finish.
Overall - Too sickly sweet for my tongue; a lot of detracting molasses qualities. Its good, but quickly gets cloying. I'd have a hard time killing more than this 10oz glass.
