I guess this is falls into a blonde ale/session pale ale kind of thing that Moonraker is kicking around. Pours yellow, good clarity, soft white 1/2" head, looks virtually indistinguishable from the big boy yellow macros. Aroma of hops. Shocking. But its not the massive bouquet blast you might get in some of the others, this is like Miss Conduct but with a stronger hop addition it seems. Seems like the aroma hops are less traditional than proprietary, usually a brewery is shy about that kind of hop addition. No sense putting a bunch of Mosaic into this (although that would be cool to check out too, this seems to have them in very small quantity). But the Amarillo and Citra are bountiful for style, pretty neat.
Taste is a light bodied, slightly bitter, slightly hoppy blonde ale. Instead of just making it as tame as can be, they offer up enough hops to make it gateway-esque towards some of their bigger, hoppier more bitter beers. This has absolutely no off flavors and certainly becomes more appropriate for drinking the warmer it is outside.
Score this for the person in your group that is the least into beer. You're not giving them something weak or anything, just more nuanced and clean. Rome palates weren't built in a day.
