Pours a yellow golden like color with ample clarity and a soft 1/3" white head. Simcoe and Citra are in the nose, don't really know what the Loral hops bring to the table, this is my first intro to them and with heavy hitters like Simcoe and Citra around, they get obscured. I'll keep a look out for the single hop or crush one if it ever happens, would like to know more about this hop.
Anyways, you get the typical west coast ipa in the taste, hits with those Simcoe bitter notes right away, tight, light, pale toasted malt body that true to style, gives it a dry background for those Simcoe hops to keep blasting their way through and landing around 50ibu I would think. It might not be as massively hopped as a lot of the other Moonraker beers, but its still plentiful and equates to a darn good pale ale at the end of the day. I'd buy a 4 pack if they canned it.
