Scored this on draft at the source in Auburn. Would have bought cans if they were available, but silver lining, the other Nelson beer they make is better.
Anyhoo, pours a thick hazy ipa. Eat it regional nonsense designation. Yellow, 2/3" white head. Orange julius like territory here hankin' around. Dude I'm getting tired of pop up service fees and processing fees after I commit to buy something. Eat shit Mercari. Nice Nelson hop aroma, its hitting, but not as hard as their other Nelson beer. Still very nice. You wanna hear about the usual diesel, gooseberry, white grape, weed down under dankness, garlic and onion, knock yourself out.
The taste pushes much the same, big smoothie mouthfeel aspect from the heavy flaked oat and wheat aspect of the beer. I'm not really sure the Nelson hop is meant to be coddled and smoothied out, preferred in a west coast ipa moreso methinks. Sawft. Would I buy a 4 pack? Sure. But their westie version of an all Nelson beer is where its at.

You need to love the diesel that Nelson can deliver. If you do, this one for sure delivers. Little white grape, dank, nor gooseberry profile to this batch, will see if that changes as it ages. Mouthfeel could be a bit fuller and softer. But it definitely lays down some serious Nelson.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Bright, exotic tropical fruit, gooseberry, passion fruit, mango, guava, apricot peach, and white grape, some citrus, faint grassy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Classic fruity Nelson mix, gooseberry, white grape, passion fruit, mango, apricot, peach, guava, lemon lime, tangerine and grapefruit, slight grassy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Really tasty Nelson showcase.

This review is for the 10/15/2020 batch!
Sweet white wine grape, hint of grapefruit citrus, and dank hoppy nose on this one! Outstanding and prominent aromatics! Taste follows with a juicy and tropical sweet, hoppy dank finish. There is some subdued, grapefruit citrus bitterness on the finish that shows up as it warms. This has great depth and a soft mouthfeel for a single! Really enjoyable to drink...this is fantastic!!!
