Pours a golden color with clarity of the prototypical west coast ipa. 1/2" white head. Powerfully clean look. Aroma was expected to be in bigger display, there was just some generic citrus grapefruit rinds kind of aroma to it. For having Amarillo and Citra, it wasn't big aroma wise, I dunno, maybe the cryo aspect of it harshes the hop aroma oils or something.
Taste was better, the Denali gave a spicier citrus contingent paired up with that dry west coast base and bitterness. That was probably the best aspect of the beer and helped get me more familiar with the Denali hop. Seems like that was the most noticeable hop that stood out. Other than that, not much more to say than a dry clean malt base that drinks like it looks, very well. Shows how with just a little tweak of using a seldom used hop, you can still make an ipa that stands out taste wise, with minimal shaking of things up.
