This was the 3rd beer in a 6 beer flight at Moonraker. Looks like I just went after the 6 beers they had on tap that I haven't tried before, what a tick this guy is!
Clear darker yellow pour, 1/2" white head. The aroma is nice and hoppy, reminiscient of Gumballhead, this is all dolled up with all the proprietary hops (not really, just a bunch of them). Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic, Amarillo seem to jump right out in this slightly lighter format. They definitely picked a lot of aroma hops for this one. Whereas Gumballhead was a massive dose of Amarillo, this one goes for a variety that doesn't seem too dominant one way or another (although Mosaic is always pretty dank and heavy in any quantity it seems).
Good amount of wheat in flaked/unflaked formats keep a less bitter and more bready aspect for all the late stage aroma hops to do their thing. It does have kind of a west coast dry finish somehow though, with a dry and good bitter finish, even if none of the hops are primarily bittering hops. Would like to see them can something like this, even though I'm sure the dipa conveyor belt sells better.
