Had California Resins poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "02/03/25" and "HEARD IT THRU THE HOPVINE," into nonic pint.

Pours straw-yellow with clarity and 1-finger, frothy, near-white head, with good retention, leaving some chunky lace down the glass. Aromas of citrus rind and a little hop resin off pour, then aromas of pineapple and berries, with floral aromas evident as warms, and all of the aromas rather understated. On tasting, begins mild pineapple and sweet citrus, with a full mouthfeel, then some citrus bite, and a more general fruit drank body, before a mild but growing resinous, somewhat sticky finish.

A little stickier but less bitter and overall milder than the classic West Coast profile.

On tap at the source and later from a can- clear medium gold straw color with foamy white head leaving scattered lacing. Nose is bright and clean with citrus and pine . Taste reels it in a bit and finishes on the dry side.

Another beer from late August 2019 in the farewell pool party tour.

Pours a light amber and honey color with 1/3" white head and good clarity to the body of the beer. I should also mention that the label/name is pretty funny if you grew up in California in the late 80s/early 90s. I dunno, maybe the commercials were in other parts of the nation too.

A hefty dose of Galaxy and CTZ in the nose? Not sure on the hops but there is plenty of pineapple, pine and weed to it.
Taste drops more of the vegetal greenness throughout, mouth feel is sticky not heavy and resin like, as its namesake would seem to indicate, commercial tug job checks out. Hides the alcohol very well, doesn't have a heavy mouthfeel despite the resin like notes, just not 'that' sticky at it. Didn't have any problems with carbonation here.

Haven't seen this one since 2019, hope they still make it, it was worthy just like every Moonraker hoppy beer I can think of.

California resins is an apropos name for this flat and chewy beer. The aftertaste is better than the initial taste, but it does feel there is some unnecessary residue in my glass.

Clear gold with a finger of soupy, near-white head. Nice sloppy rings of lacing.

Restrained aroma of pine, cat pee, green onion and a touch of fruit.

Clean tasting, with the same elements from the nose, along with some black pepper and mild bitterness in the finish.

Light-to-medium bodied, lightly syrupy feel, with modest carbonation.

A pleasant, clean-drinking beer that’s real purty lookin. To my taste, ould use a little more hops in the boil, especially for a DIPA, but still very much recommended.
