Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.

S: Classic Nelson, white grape tropical fruit, a little citrus, earthy herbal notes, a little floral, biscuity malt, and light caramel sweetness.

T: Leads with big white grape and gooseberry, followed by apricot, passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, and lime, floral side slowly comes out, some underlying spicy and earthy herbal notes, faintly grassy, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.

O: Really solid single hop brew that shows off all the classic Nelson attributes. Wouldn't mind just a touch more sweetness to help the tropical and citrus flavors come through.

Rejoice, for there is another Nelson hopped beer that kicked butt!

Pours industry standard yellow and orange, lotta haze, 1/3" white head resulting in a gravy like concoction. Oh yeah baby, my favorite hop bringing all that dank, haven't showered for 3 days mix of hippie weed, body odor, humidity and overripe mango. Best Nelson since Nelson?

Taste keeps banging away. Has that slight Summit like onion/garlic influence, somewhat related to that BO reference. Sticky and stinky weed taste. Super crushable and easy to drink. Moonraker like, never ever puts you up against a thick malt heavy ipa, they manage to keep it floating the whole time. Amazing how this does both aroma and bittering so well. Goldilocks in both regards. You should have seen the partner drink a sip of this, she hated it, that awful bitter beer face that lets me know dis beer done gud. Still have 2 cans left, I am very psyched to have them again. Would love to pair this up against Electric Lettuce, which I think is the reigning Moonraker champ for me. Odds gotta be close to even.

Fresh can.
Orange/yellow hazy juice appearance. Fluffy white head.
Smell and taste are the fruity, grape, dank flavors that are Nelson hops in large doses.
Juicy mouthfeel.
Overall I’m a sucker for Nelson hops. Reminded me of double Nelson by HF though maybe not quite as good. Pretty close though.

Poured into a tulip glass. A hazy bright yellow color with a medium white head. Huge aroma with white grapes and herbal notes. Taste followed. Great Nelson flavor but a tad thin on the body. Medium carbonation. Overall a good but not great beer.

Sweet, freshly picked Nelson hoppy nose on this one! Ha! Taste follows with a dank, white wine grape, grapefruit bitter bite on the swallow. The depth and feel are decent for a single, but would be better if it was a little softer on the palate. Still an intense Nelson IPA that is really good!

Draught pint at Auburn brewery. Really nice fresh hop Nelson IPA and less than 7%, nose slightly better than the taste. Mouthfeel could be better, biting acidity from too high carbonation is a hindrance.

Will revisit in greater detail from cans.

Update: can dated 11/06/19 into a tulip.

A: Murky slightly brown golden with 1+ finger of frothy white head with good retention and left mixed lacing. Unchanged rating

S: Nice, but could pop more for fresh hop, white grapes and undertones of berries and dank. Improves as it warms, quite enjoyable. Raised until 4.25 to 4.5

T: Cold, I like this slightly better than the nose. As it warms, the nose takes prominence. Follows the nose to 'a T'. Finishes with subtle bitterness and a hint of acidity. Unchanged rating

F: Low-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, slick on the tongue and swallow. For its appearance it should've tasted fuller send fluffier. Unchanged rating

O: Really nice fresh hop brew, just wanted better mouthfeel given its appearance. Would happily grab again. Unchanged rating
