Canned 07/15/21
Appearance - Pours hazy and orange in color with an off-white head that peaks at just over a finger's width. Good retention before settling to a thin, consistent film of suds across the surface. Great lacing, with a mostly solid sheet, dripping off at the bottom and sides into streaks and lines, and devolving further into small spotting.
Smell - The aroma lends to assertive notes of citrus, pineapple, melon and papaya.
Taste - Follows the nose. A nice blend of orange, pineapple and lesser papaya, with a hint of melon creeping in mid-taste. Finish brings out more papaya and melon as the orange and pineapple die down, along with a touch of yeasty character.
Mouthfeel - On the fuller side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Slick, somewhat creamy texture with an easy going, slightly dry finish.
Overall - Tasty hazy with just enough bite to counterbalance the mellower aspects, and is it damn smooth. One I'll definitely buy in cans again or keep an eye out for it on tap if I ever start making it back up to Moonraker.

Pours a hazy yellow leaning light orange pour, 1/3" white head. Looks like a screwdriver orange julius kind of drink. Dig the artwork. Has a comic like vibe but without all the nerdiness.
The nose is what you came to the party for. Citra, Mosaic and. . . I forget, but it banged the nose with all the usual sweet citrus and tropical fruit descriptors. Strata, that was the other one. I think they say strawberry there, but my notes differ from that assertion.
Taste is pretty easy going, there is a decent bitterness from Strata I think here keeping this from feeling too trubby or watered down. Hides the alcohol very well, Moonraker is so good at making 8%+ come off like a pale ale. The beer brings a variety of things that are relatively common to the table: a flaked body, citrus, weed and tropical notes, easy abv drink-i-ness. Is it a fair complaint that they have a bunch of pretty similar really good hoppy beers? There is nothing here that hasn't been done a million times, but with that said, this is prolly better than 975,000 of those million.

Canned 11/27/19. Pours a beautifully opaque yellow-orange with a big fluffy white head that immediately disappears. Fantastically thick lacing. Aroma is slightly tropical, but muted. Taste starts smoothly tropical, then finishes with a bite, just a little bitter but not too dry. Medium mouthfeel. A really great looking hazy IPA that tastes almost as good as it appears.

L: pours a really bright and opaque yellow. Solid 2 fingers worth of head with great retention and excellent lacing.
S: guava, mango and stone fruits with some beautiful dankness. Wonderful smells here and this is definitely not a citrus bomb. Very tropical smells here.
T: taste absolutely follows, spot on. This to me is really a tropical hazy DIPA. With all the fruitiness it is not overly sweet and has a subtle booziness for a DIPA that comes through very well. Extremely well done.
F: great medium body with lower carbonation and a little less dryness on the finish than others in the same style.
O: this is an extremely well done NE DIPA. Different, beautiful aroma, phenomenal taste and an amazing beer.

Sweet, tangerine-citrus, tropical and dank hoppy aromatics on this one! Taste follows with subtle citrus bitterness and a nice dank hoppy bite. As it warms, the citrus bitterness becomes more prominent but still well-balanced. Great depth and mouthfeel on this one. Really good!
