Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and a slightly dirty orange color, with an off-white, half finger width head that fizzes away like soda, leaving a barren surface. No lacing, but none expected.
Smell - Damn. Straight up key lime pie in your nose. The cream, the slightly toasted graham cracker crust and, most importantly, that beautiful key lime tart and fruity character.
Taste - Starts with key lime sweet, tart and then eventually the acidity, mixed in is the creamy vanilla sweetness, followed by a really nice graham cracker 'crust' base really ties the whole experience together. Aftertaste mostly lingers with strong key lime tartness playing off softer vanilla and graham cracker notes, not unlike if you were actually eating the damn pie.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with fair, slightly tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker before a crisp, slightly dry and quenchable finish.
Overall - This is killer, even better than New Glory's annual Key Lime gose, which is hard for me to admit since I freaking love that beer. Granted, slightly different styles, but this just has better balance. Both are amazing, this just scratches that itch a wee bit better. Wow!
