Scored this in late Spring 2022. Was not a Nelson hopped batch.
Pours a yellow golden color. I dig the can design, simple, effective, Bret Hart colors. It pops. Good clarity. The aroma is a hoppy lager yeast. Smells traditional pilsner Saaz hops and Moteuka(?) maybe? Smells nice.
Taste, alright, now we're going places. A very nice brisk barley contingent, I've seen some tug jobs for Admiral Maltings (Fieldwork) that didn't pan out at all (Grain in Vain, shit man you even borrowed from the Clash and still mucked it up?), but this is probably the nicest product (final) I've had from them. Great taste and mouth feel, less filling. Bittering hop zone aptly done, but the little kick of proprietary hops gives this a light Americana feel to the old German pilsner in classical form. When you want crisp, fun drinking beer with a light tip of the cap to some down under hops.
This really should be a staple in my fridge spring - fall.

Can dated 05/20/21 (batch with Nelson hops) into a pilsner glass.
Straw yellow with 2+ fingers of frothy white head with good retention and left mixed lacing. Nose is heavy on citrus initially, more traditional Nelson attributes (diesel and gooseberries) show as it warms. Taste follows the nose well, with subtle bready undertones. Finishes with mild bitterness that clears the palate quickly. Low-medium bodied with medium carbonation, crisp on the swallow.
Nice Anerican pilsner with modern hops, maybe would benefit from a hint more malt prominence. I'll happily grab it again.
