Another early summer/late spring beer from 2023. Poured into that weird art pint glass I used to have while grilling in the front yard. Yellow in color, but only lightly cloudy in relation to the hazy ipa designation.

I get mostly Citra/citrus notes in the nose, bring on that tangerine dream. Mosaic seems a little different here, I'm just getting a mild guava and pine underneath majority citrus. Smells good still.

Taste and mouthfeel seem to work well, Simcoe gives a bitterness above that of your average hazy beer, but it still displays a level of sweetness. The body is kind of a tweener, neither hazy nor west coast, a wobbler if you will. Still hits the juicy recognition. Tropical notes start to emerge as we get to the second half of the can. Guava, weed, melon like notes. Seems like a tad lower carbonation than usual for Moonraker. This one sits preference wise just slightly below average (for them).

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden yellow amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces quite nicely.

S: Big hit of ripe tropical and stone fruit, some sweet citrus, a touch of pine, floral notes, a touch grassy, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Juicy tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, guava, mango, passion fruit, and a hint of melon, a little citrus, orange and lemon lime, a touch of pine, slight grassy and floral notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.

O: They pulled all the best fruit notes out of those hops. I wouldn't mind just a little more pine coming through, but as it stands it's a rather tasty easy drinking hazy IPA.
