Picked this up on the way to Steel Panther on Patriot Day. Hehehehehe. Suck it beer nerds.
Pours a golden color that is the number 1 beer color in the world. Amazing. I guess it kind of leans into a light amber.
1/3" white head. Stunning/brave if it was disgusting, but its not. The aroma is mildly hoppy by Moonraker standards. Seems like this might be their easy going pale ale marketed beer when surmising the design, name and mild aroma. Its weird this has Nelson hops, they are here in a miniscule way I guess. It used to be every time there was Nelson, you didn't find out by the letters on the can, just, bam, pow, in your face Nelson. Not so much here. Now, there is Moteuka as well, and so now, you're like, what? Where is my down under dank? Why isn't weed, body odor, diesel and garlic punching me?
Taste is much the same way, its like totally good tasting and smelling, its all just sessioned out. We haven't talked about Mosaic, it does most of the clean tropical push, missing berry sensations. A tiny bit of white grape eeks out. I'm just chillin' here w these friends of mine, say yeah, say yeah.
It has a pretty clean, west coast pale ale like body. Its hoppy, it just lacks the Moonraker Diesel Nelson quotient of say, Bubble Dust. That one bangs. This is like a super session version of that kind of.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Lively citrus, a little pine, floral, a bit grassy, plenty of underlying tropical and stone fruit including the classic Nelson hits, faintly toasty biscuity malt, and a touch of honey sweetness.
T: Zesty citrus, lime, lemon, and grapefruit, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, classic Nelson white grape and gooseberry, passion fruit, blueberry, mango, apricot, and peach, floral notes, a little spicy pine, a bit grassy, faintly toasty biscuity malt, and a little honey sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: There's something special about this one. Crisp and crushable, very nicely balanced, and the hop combo works together beautifully without any one hop running away with the show. This would make a great camping beer.

Can pour- clear golden straw color with short white head leaving minimal lacing. I'm guessing on the version as it has a camper on the can art and is stamped "in a van down by the river" on the bottom. Regardless it smells and tastes more like an IPA than a PA. Quite tasty. No complaints here.
