Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.

S: Ripe citrus, tropical and stone fruit, resinous pine, slightly grassy, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

T: Citrus, orange, lime, lemon, and grapefruit, tropical and stone fruit, mango, passion fruit, peach, apricot, and a hint of pineapple, resinous pine, a touch grassy biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.

O: Right on the line between pale ale and IPA, drinks a little more like the latter, in a good way. Fruity and bright with enough bitterness to balance things out. Given all the fruits on the label I was expecting some Nelson and El Dorado.

You know, the namesake is somewhat fitting. A label bestows a pail with all kinds of fruit in it. Right on. The label is kind of a throwback to some of those 1st year janky labels they had.

Pours a very light bright yellow color into a 1974 Marquette basketball jersey pint glass (their first of 3 Final Four appearances). Big 1.25" white head. The aroma paralleled the label art, as it did reveal a juicy bouquet of fruit as depicted. The system works. Lots of Citra giving, you know, lots of citrus. The Moteuka works to bump some tropical smoothie notes.

In the taste and mouthfeel, the Simcoe is very complimentary. Don't get it twisted, the thing is full on fruity without any fruit additions, and the pale ale might as well be called a hazy pale ale, because it has that feel of flaked wheat and oats giving it that silky sawft texture. And then comes Simcoe to put a well placed bitterness charge to keep it all in that "beer" vein. Its pretty good, crushable stuff, especially during basketball season.

Pours a very cloudy opaque golden yellow color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is very good as is lacing. Very light aroma. Citrus mainly. On the taste, there is some light Citrus and tropical flavors. I get orange, some pineapple and mild grapefruit bitterness. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
