Pour: deep crimson red with a two finger creamy head that quickly dissapates and leaves a minimal lace on the glass.
Smell: heavy malt sweetness, very bready tones with just a wisp of citrus hops in the rear of the nose.
Drink: the front is a quick hit of bready, sweet malt followed by a heavy hop flavor. The citrus hops overpower the malt in the middle. The finish is a standard alt clean finish.
Feel: quite light and refreshing. Would go great with dinner or as a lawn mower beer, but be careful with the higher abv it can sneak up on you.
Overall: a good example of an American alt. It holds up great and I will have it again.
