Pours a beautiful, transparent amber, with a moderate foam that disperses pretty quickly, but leaves durable lacing. Smell is bready and malty, as expected for an Märzen, but has very little hop scent. Flavor starts rich, biscuity, malt which last a long time. There are just enough hops in the end to let the taster finish cleanly. Feel is a little light in body for the style and thus feels more strongly carbonated. Overall this is a very tasty Märzen that's true to form, but a little lighter in flavor and body than the best of the big Munich classics. This sample is from a can, but I've had this beer on tap many times at the beer garden. Fresh vom Fass, it's a little stronger flavored in malt and hops. It's my first choice once they run out of their excellent barrel-aged beers.

L-The beer is a clear deep amber. The head rises to about a cm in height before quickly receding to a thin ring. Lacing is minimal.
S- The nose is sweet with malt bordering on caramel. It's like a slightly stronger version of Sam Adams.
T-Tastewise the beer is better balanced than SA. Unfortunately I'm picking up a bit of metallic aftertaste which is slightly offputting.
F- Mouthfeel overall is light and slightly watery. Carbonation is light.
O- It's a drinkable if unremarkable Okto. Probably not something I need to repeat as there are better ones out there, both imported and domestic.

Poured from a 16 Oz can (BOD 9.20.2018)
A: Malt forward, light Munich malt character bready, some bread crust notes. Biscuity, caramel. No hop detected, clean fermentation profile.
A: Poured clear amber, low carbonation.
T: Taste follows aroma with clean, clear Munich malt profile.
F: Low to medium low mouthfeel, clean profile.
O: A nice take on a classic Marzen style Octoberfest.
