Pours deep red/brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate and mild coffee. Taste follows with more coffee than chocolate. Low bitterness is pleasant. Feel is decent with good thickness and a rich finish. Overall a nice beer that’s a bit more porter in impression than stout.

Pint can in a stout snifter glass.
Pitch black color, opaque, with a fast falling 1F dark tan cap. Very little lacing.
Intense coffee aroma, espresso like. Smoked malt.
Fairly strong coffee flavor that’s not overpowering.
Light bodied stout. It’s coffee roast malt brew so it works. Slightly smoky.
Pretty good. Light, drinkable, and flavorful.

1st Review, added by Act 25.
Local brewer in Monmouth County, NJ that I have not yet tried, with Carton being my hometown hero brewer.
a) Works well black body sporting 1 finger lasting head, much lace.
s/ t ) Faint aroma of coffee, but ample coffee, fresh roasted bean flavor, but only a bit of tempering by hops. Mono-dimensional but ok if you like coffee as I do.
f) thin for a stout, not much going on on the palate.
o) Getting better on 2nd try
