this is a new favorite for me, the best (that i can readily recall) fruited gose type i have ever had. its near perfect, and the fruit aspect is amazing too. its beautifully deep pink to purple in color, with a soft white head and a creamy haze to it, refined and sexy, amazing color for a beer. the aroma is sweet and tart from the blackberries both, i can already tell its some of the most prominent blackberry i have known in any beer. the lacto is distinct, but uncommon, not sharp or harsh at all, even mild on the acidity, but still mouthwatering and wild, maybe some other wild fermenting agents at work in here too. creamy wheaty malt base is not crowded out, and the salt element is on point, high mineral and briny without being overpowering. the flavor is as good as the nose, the authenticity and forthrightness of the fruit is second to none, especially for blackberry which is a tricky one for brewers. the salt and the lacto are a perfect match with a very complete flavor profile, a hint of herbal coriander peps it up, and the sourness rounds it out in the end, quite dry for how intense the fruit is too. awesome carbonation, but i like the roundness of the body as much as the bubbles here, this is a totally different feel for a beer in this style, and i love it. alesong is absolutely knocking my socks off with each successive beer i have from them. this may be the best of their bottled offerings i have had so far. one of the best gose types i have ever had! perfectly proportioned, but still high salinity. world class!
