Poured from 500 mL bottle into snifter.
A: Pours a clear brown amber hue with a faint skim of tan head that quickly dissipates. Some red hue emerges with backlighting.
S: Sweet bourbon, toffee, caramel, oak, earthy spice, and subtle vanilla.
T: Sweet bourbon, soft caramel, touch of apple and red berries, oak, vanilla, earthy spice, and toffee. Love the apple/berry note that is tucked in with the rest of the notes.
M: Medium body, much lighter than the hefty ABV would suggest. Super smooth feel. ABV is extremely well hidden. Layers of delicate malt sweetness with bourbon sweetness on top.
D: Such a lovely sipper! Very close to replicating a bourbon experience without the alcohol burn. What a pleasant surprise!

On tap next to single barrel maestro.
Very similar to the single barrel, but bigger depth on the barrel and more rye spice/bakers spice thing going on. Same flavors of vanilla, toffee, caramel, oak, bourbon. Red apple skins. Outstanding.
