Classic and straight down the middle. The cacao nib / vanilla balance is impressive.
Present, expressive, staying power, but very elegantly restrained. Zero heat, very slick and smooth and almost ethereal for being 12.2% abv. Free of any off flavor or note. Again, very impressive. I love bourbon and so that’s my one critique: lacking on bourbon expression. Elijah Craig 8yr isn’t for me frankly, and that was reflected to me here. A minor complaint in the face of such a lovely beer.
