Bottle let out a “pfft”, so it’s carbed at least. Pours with no head, only a bare skim when vigorously swirled. Tawny dark brown, sharp clarity, no visible carb.
Aroma is nondescript, smells vaguely of Tootsie rolls.
Taste has a carob and grapey blackcurrant note, Tootsie roll resurfaces. Sweet with an astringent carbonic bite. Minimally carbed, light bodied. Drinks like a soda.
Overall, no great shakes. On the sweet and commercialized side of the Kvass spectrum.
