Here it is, New Oliver Beers Sunday (Week 771) & I feel like I am in some kind of loop. My local, in-person trader, @tone77 is the sole reviewer, to date, while I get the photo credit! The CANQuest (tm) is a loopy beast in which things take place regardless of time & space restrictions. I am at a loss for words on this one!
From the CAN: "MexiCAN Style Lager"; "Beer Is Our Healer"; "Brewed in collaboration with Stoner Rock BBQ, this MexiCAN Lager is crisp and light-bodied with refreshing hints of lemon and Kaffir lime leaves."; "Oliver Brewing Co. has been proudly brewing craft beer in Baltimore, MD since 1993."; "See the special recipe pairing here: https://goo.gl/oirfd9 ".
The link no longer seems to be working, but hopefully the beer will have curative properties. I decided that the only way to determine this would be to Crack! open the CAN. Having done so, I went with my first slow, gentle C-Line Glug of the day. This resulted in the formation, albeit brief, of a finger of fizzy, foamy, rocky, bone-white head that quickly dissipated into wisps. 8=( Color was Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with NE-quality clarity on this cloudy, rainy late-Fall day. Nose smelled like a Corona after you squeeze a lime wedge into it. Now, for a little bit of CANification - this beer had a clean biscuit maltiness, unlike the aforementioned AAL, but the scent of lime was just too prevalent to simply gloss over. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but close. The taste was VERY much like drinking a lime-infused lager, very citrusy & quite refreshing. I CAN totally see this at a MexiCAN restaurant in lieu of the usual suspects & especially since the lime is built-in with this one. Finish was semi-dry, very refreshing, very citrusy & very welcome as I transition towards bigger beers. YMMV.

I didn't add this beer, but it looks like I'm the first to review it. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a straw color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of sweet malts, light grains. Taste has lots of lemon, I didn't get that in the aroma, some malts. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
