Light haze on the pale yellow body. The average size white head disappeared quickly without leaving much lacing. Aroma of soft fruit and dough. Taste seems more centered on the hop profile without going overboard. Finish turns a bit herbal. Mouthfeel has good body and carbonation.

Clear gold, great white head, good retention, nice lace
Corn, grassy malt in the aroma
Grassy, corny grain flavor
Light bodied, appropriate carbonation
This might be the best American lager I've had. Definitely not my favorite beer, but it's well made and checks all the boxes for what it should be.

This is a tasty local-ish lager with a decent biscuit note and enough herbal/medicinal style hops to make it over the relatively low bar of complexity for a basic yellow malt lager. The heavier than typical mouthfeel is a plus here. Easy drinking light fare; totally fine.

Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Quite a nice looking lager. Frothy and light forming off white head, a little hint of dark to it instead of the regular blinding bleach white lager head, but still classic soapy looking with big bubbles and some minor retention. The body color is clear as glass, and quite dark brass yellow brown colored, with a few glints of rising carbonation. Clear and beautiful, but also dark, quite nice actually.
There's some good quality on the nose. Touches a light bready malt, even a bit of good natural almost honey like sweetness. However, there's an odd misplaced fruity note that seems completely out of left field. Not much else and no hop presence either.
Palate seems very memorable. Hits with familiar adjunct like flavors, but less pronounced. Sweet hints of honey and light sugars, with faint touches of white flour toasted slightly. The finish is a surprising jolt. There's a hint of wet body here and then a real bitter hop angle that sneaks out of nowhere, flirting with herbal grass green flavors, but also shockingly astringent and bitter. The bitterness really does bite on this and seriously lingers which is surprising. The twinge almost gets a metallic like taste and shock in the mouth after some time, which for a regular lager… is quite wanted, but also quite shocking.
Not your run of the mill average lager here, and those looking for something more hop forward in a regular lager and complain about that, here is an example of be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Drinkable at least and somewhat a nice change.

This CANtinues my New Oliver Beers Sunday (Week 771)! Not only does it help in the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm), but it also leads into a massive purge of/from my kitchen reefer. I hope to make some real inroads over the course of the day.
From the CAN: "Since 1993"; "Inspired by the Good Times."; "Enjoy a Sessionable and Crisp Lager".
I was ready, after having to take, resize & submit a picture for approval before Crack!ing open the vent on this one. I went with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug since I was starting to lose steam at this point. I was CANtemplating a nap & the last thing that I wanted was a mess to have to clean up before retiring. It formed just over a finger of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head with good retention. Color was Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity, enticing The Gelt Gang of Croesus, Midas & Mammon to jump off of my couch where they were watching the Klowns/Stillers game & run into the kitchen for a taste. Nose had a light breadiness, but not much in the way of hops. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, a step or two above watery. The taste had a pronounced toasty breadiness with just a lightly grassy kiss of the hops. It reminded me of the Schlitz retro Lager from several years ago. Tasty, crushable, semi-memorable. Finish was semi-dry. but very refreshing. YMMV. Me, I'm off for a lay-down!
