Lincoln Lager is a bright and crisp German Helles style lager. We designed this beer around our local water profile which lends perfect minerality for the style. Made with Noble German hops for balanced bitterness and a gentle biscuity malt profile.

Pours a straw gold color. Little foam and no lacing. Very mild aromas.
It's a very easy to drink beer. Not too much character to it. You get some of the hops. Some bread dough as well.
Overall it's fine and middle of the road.

Clear gold with a nice head which slowly recedes to a cap. Fruity nose. Light malt body with cereal flavours. Fantastic crispness. No wonder it's served at Ti-cat games!

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Mar 26 2021 and best before Dec 26 2021. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a pale yellow colour; mostly clear in complexion, save for a bit of chill haze. One finger of frothy, soapy white head seeps away within two minutes or so, leaving behind a thin, bubbly collar and layer of film; scant lacing at first, but there's decent deposition as the level drops. Not a whole lot on the nose - grain husks, bready pale malt sweetness, and just a touch of grassy, spicy noble hops - if nothing else, it's appropriate for the style.
Straightforward, but it's at least as well-crafted as some of the better German exports you can find around here. It tastes of clean, grainy pale malts at the forefront, with notes of bready sweetness also coming through; it finishes with notes of grassy hops and very faint citrus peel, with crackers and spicy hops dissipating into a slightly grainy aftertaste. Light in body, with assertive carbonation that remains crisp and very prickly throughout the course of the glass; it's crisp, thirst-quenching, and very easy to knock back.
Final Grade: 3.74, on the higher end of a B grade. Lincoln Lager isn't anything to get too excited about, but it's a perfectly fine flagship lager with no real flaws for me to complain about. A little more noble hop flavour would always be appreciated by myself, but for a helles it's pretty close to spot on in most respects. A little pricier than the aforementioned German equivalents, which might limit how often I bother returning to this beer - but make no mistake, it's a quality brew that pale/German-style lager lovers should definitely check out.

Review from notes. Served cold into a pint glass.
Appearance - Clear golden colour with two fingers of white head. Plenty of bubbles and some sparse lacing.
Smell - Clean and grainy, bready malts abound.
Taste - Grains again with a plethora of bready flavor and hints of crackery goodness. On the sweeter side but with just enough bitterness to rein in everything.
Mouthfeel - Medium-light in body and good crisp carbonation. Very drinakble.
Overall - Good beer and easy to enjoy. No frills lager with lots of tasty bread flavors. Well made and deserving of a spot in the rotation.
