A: Dark glassy orange has a semi-translucent transparency with a strong rate of macro-bubble carbonation. Beige soft foam capping resembles custard, one inch tall with a steady rate of retention. Clingy lace dressing on the glass.
S: Some corn meal, damp noble flowers and soft damp orange peel. Low to moderate awareness.
T: Damp oranges, musky grains with a damp breadiness. Raw noble hop flowers. Some off flavors.
M: Really creamy and soft palate, a lack of crispness is what stands out and didn't translate from the visual.
O: A bit darker the usual appearance, damp bready and graininess, musky noble flowers. Lacked a crispness per style and the drinkability factor was the most sufferable portion for me. There were flashes of potential here, but that aspect quickly faded to a raw muddle and musky hop flower mess. The grains were not crisp and clean as well.

Spot on for the style.
Very authentic rendition of the style.
I love it. One of the best American Oktoberfests I had.

Canned on 8/20/20
Pours a translucent pale orange body with ruddy brownish hues and capped with around a finger of near-creamy, slightly off-white head; solid retention yields paper-thin Islands of cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and thin rings of lacing navigating the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with soft floral yeast accompanied by a slightly peppery touch guiding toward fresh toast and a middle highlighting rounded tones of cooked grain; the back end shows a touch more minerality at the forefront alongside more pronounced nutty tones to close.
Taste brings brown bread leveling the sweetness of caramel malts as floral hops engage with apple peel and a steadier nuance over time; a faint minerality and lager yeast underscores suggestions of pumpernickel toast touched with honey lingering through the back end and beyond the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a taut, light-medium body against a slightly more amplified fluffy spritz of moderate-high carbonation, which in turn imparts a weightier, more robust malty texture over the mid-palate; lighter characteristics define the back end of the palate, with a less concentrated grit and increased dryness resulting in a clean, satisfying finish.
Flashes of genuine complexity further deepen a rounded, balanced Oktoberfest designed with a succinct approach and clean execution; although somewhat shy at times, this beer ultimately and most effectively captures the casual spirit of the style from start to finish.

Pours a copper color with a finger of head. The nose is bready. There is some notes of toasted caramel malt in the flavor profile.
This is a fine Marzen. But, by no means is there anything remarkable here.

Canned 8/6/2020 - Pours a pleasant amber color with a healthy head. Aroma is malty with a little bit of grain, carbonation is spot on. Tons of lacing going on here. Taste is malt forward with a pleasant bitterness from the hops, sweetness is kept in check. Hops sit on the back of the tongue with a somewhat dry finish. Definitely a pleasant and well crafted Oktoberfest from Soul Purpose (Greater Good Brewing). I rather enjoyed this beer, well done!

Pours a large foamy frothy rocky head with great retention, good lacing, but very hazy (bad for Oktoberfest lager), med orange color
Nose starts off more like a Kellerbier, gristy raw doughy malt, a bit grainy, a bit of raw bread dough and lemony cereal like, almost raw malt soup like, very light floral hops
Taste brings more grainy malt, doughy gristy, again like malt soup kinda thing and again more kellerbier like, soft malt with a little lemon cereal notes and again light raw malt and young beer Kellerbier like, herbal floral slightly spicy hops with medium bitterness, raw bread dough, soft wheat dough, a bit of fruity esters, finishes a bit drier with long lingering medium bitterness, grassy spicy hops
Mouth is med to a little lighter bod, higher fizzy carb, bit creamy soft
Definitely like a kellerbier without the diacetyl or other young beer characters except the fruity esters and soft creamy feel, a good beer? I would say yes if they called this a Kellerbier, but as an Oktoberfest, not even close.

Bottom of the can stamped '10/03/19.'
This was poured into a glass mug.
The appearance had a rugged burnt orange/copper color with a slight cloudiness to it. Small foamy cap of a little white head, lace slightly spiderwebs and was a bit clingy.
The aroma had some semi-sweet dark toast and caramel malts, strong earthy hop tones invade with some warmth. Grassiness and honey coated biscuits involve themselves further underneath.
The flavor leaned towards a semi-sticky clean caramel and earthy character. Mild aftertaste of sweet nuts, earthy hops and a touch of honey.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just shy of being full. Good carbonation and sessionability about it. Definitely has an earthy dry and slightly spicy crisp finish which seemed nice but not overwhelming.
Overall, for the most part it's a nice Oktoberfest but the hazy/cloudy appearance is just a bit more than the normal "festbier" characteristics. Still, it's enjoyable enough to come back to for me.
