Had this pretty fresh (11/18/19) and thought it was excellent, not sure what happened for the poor reviews. Great hazy NEIPA look, juicy and soft on the palate. Maybe some honeydew or greener fruit notes but really solid.

Once in a while, you have a beer that's old, explodes upon opening, is unmemorable, seems like many others youv'e had, and begs to be drain poured - but yet, you finish it anyways. This was one of those beers for me. Maybe it was the name, the fact that it was my last KCBC here at the house, or the label art but in the end, this turned out to be more pedestrian than just about anything else I've had as of late...
The pour to this was a hazy honey with enough light seeping through to keep it bright. Plenty of head topped it off, which was evident as soon as I saw the foam upon the opening of this can. A typical assortment of tangy citrus, stone fruit, dank rind, and juicy hops filled the muted nose as the taste was quite a bit stronger than that. Orange cream, tangerine, and a dank, woodsy undertone came in as I worked my way through this, with just a bit of light sediment at the bottom of the liquid. A basic malt presence and fairly slick mouthfeel rounded this out as this was relatively easy to drink from the get-go...
The amount of booze was just right and complemented everything else, as I felt some warming throughout my session with a minty aftertaste on my palate once I finished this off. Not a bad beer but this could have been a bit more given the hop lineup in this. Canned on 5/6/17, this held up well and of course, had a great label. I still feel that these guys, after all of this time, are just a bit too much under the radar!
