Served in a can-shaped pint glass.

Appearance: Clear with a touch of haziness which is faint and extra bubbles on the body.

Smell: Floral and hoppy scent, comes and goes quicker than a bad candle. Good but quick.

Taste: Nice deep complex hops coming off extra bitter but smooth and touch sweet. It is extra malty. Grapefruit juice with a flower feel which has that west coast style feel to the your favorite IPA.

Mouth: Medium to heavy carbonation.

Overall: Good brew, might be your starter beer for the night or one to introduce to a friend if they want to explore the realm of any IPA. Perosnally for me I will buy it again just because it is still summer and it gets hot. Salud!

Hell, this is old, but I bought this because I enjoy both breweries as they're close to each other in New York. Wasn't quite sure what to make of this, as it wasn't bad but just so...ordinary. Fans of either may be let down here even though this was a serviceable beer that didn't have anything in particular to dislike about it...

This pour to this looked like many of the other local beers that I've had over the last few years - muted, cloudy, and lighter around the edges. Lots of subtle peach, apricot, orange sherbert, and soft hops in the nose as the latter really came out in the taste as this warmed up. Slick, sweet, and subtly dank, this had some tart juiciness and unripe dankness that didn't quite mesh well together. Thankfully, there wasn't any sediment floating in the liquid and the flavors weren't edgy enough to turn me off...

With that being said, there was plenty of booze in here and a Mosaic-like undertone that emerged as this warmed up. New England-style IPA's have taken that craft beer world by storm but something like this could be a textbook example of a New York-style IPA, as the taste, hops, and mouthfeel reminded me of much of what I've had from both collaborators. Dated 7/17 of last year on the bottom of the can with "FREDDIE MERCURY" written above it, it's apt for the mania of Queen that's out now as this held up well enough to be enjoyed over a year after production. Even though the lacing left behind on the side of my pint glass, I just wish that the flavors had meshed together a bit more smoothly!

Pours amber with a nice white head. Aroma of peach and light mango. Taste follows the nose with apricot, passion fruit, berry juice and a light dank. Very tasty collaboration.

DIPA collab between Kings County and Greenpoint... Not like the fruit juice bombs I've been drinking today from Other Half - brings elements of fruit, sure, like peach, apricot and unripe mango, but has a danker pine resin edge to it, and leaves something of a bitter shellac on the tongue. Medium-weight, moderately carbonated and moderately bitter, with a little tack on the palate... 7/17/17 canning...
