Interesting beer her as this was an American Imperial IPA with corn and rice in it - leading me to *almost* believe that this was a hopped-up IPL. Toss in the name play with those ingredients and the end result was a brew not quite like anything else I've had from either Greenpoint or KCBC - and I've had quite a few from each given that they're some of the closest brewers to where I work out of in Brooklyn!
Nomenclature aside, the appearance of this was what I expected - a muted, chalky goldenrod, moderate head, and soapy rings of lacing reminded me of many of the past beers that I've enjoyed from these guys. Some mild corn and rice were in the nose with floral notes and grassy, dank hops to boot. Orange sherbert sweetness, soft cream, muted tangerine pith, and dank citrus rounded out the flavor profile of this, which was quite varied but coherent at the same time. A moderately slick mouthfeel and sufficient amount of carbonation kept this light as the body was full, thanks to the adjunct present in this.
There was enough alcohol in here but it never felt out of proportion or too strong overpower everything else. Somehow, this was lighthearted, down to the "RICE RICE BABY" written on the bottom of the can above the date of 8/10 of last year. As this warmed up, I warmed up to it and was nearly smiling by the end of my session. While not a knockout, this was a worthy collaboration that merited another go-around, if not another brew between both parties - both of them are too good not to give it another go-around!

A double dry hopped adjunct DIPA collaboration with Greenpoint featuring corn (Scorn) and rice (Avarice)... Medium yellow and hazy body, coupla fingers of white head that briefly trailed some lace foam behind... Aromas predominantly citric and floral... On the palate, smooth and slick, modest carbonation, moderately sweet, mildly bitter... Again with impressions of citrusy fruits, maybe some grainier notes, too...
