an all new york state ingredient pilsener, maybe the first of its kind that i have encountered, and its a really beautifully executed beer, drinkable and full of character, ahead of its class, and one of the better beers we had in here to be honest, but they are all fantastic, if you havent been in here yet, check them out, they are killing it! this is just a little less than perfectly clear, with a radiant yellow glow and a high degree of carbonation, super pretty in the glass from the tap. aroma is a little raw to me which i like, not lobotomized or sterile at all, the lager yeast has some obvious input, the great isnt filtered way clean, and its hoppy in a new school kind of way, a very modern take on the style, but its german roots are still evident as well, really the best of both worlds here in a really drinkable package. i love the hops in the flavor, coming on a little earlier than in a lot of pils types, and lingering with the classic noble bitterness. the yeast is crackery and uplifting in here, and there is great balance between all the elements, including the water profile. i thought this one was expert, a beer i would but again if i saw it. very cool take on the style, my mouth is watering for more. so cool that all of these ingredients are sourced from within the state too!

Huh. Interesting. Doesn't look or smell like much but tastes like a melting pot of styles.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of grassy hops, which mask any flavors of underlying hops and also contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied, crisp and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a hoppier version of a pilsener and doesn't have much aromas or flavors from the malts.

Tall can, 11/3/17, purchased at City Swiggers, NYC, NY

Pour with a medium haze, (until the final pour really clouds things up), lighter, yellowy, off white mini cap, stays nicely and leaves and thicker, yet still tiny bubble film, low sheeting and some blotchy lacing.

Sniff of some fruitiness, with lime and flowers coming to mind.

More of the same on the palate, with again lime, and some ginger coming forward.

Easy drinking and enjoyable quaffer
