Bought this beer recently at KCBC and finally got around to it tonight. Had the other Into the Machine that they released and this one was also a pleasant surprise to me. A bit reminiscent of vinegar, there was enough to like *if* you into a beer of this style. Given that this was the first review of this, I gathered that not many people were into something of this sort!

Not a bad pour to this as the beer was a rustic brown with plenty of loud and foamy salmon head that topped this off. a bit murky, only a bit of light seeped in around the edges as I held this up. Not much lacing was seen here either as this was quite thin for a Dubbel. Plenty of booze, cranberries, wood, and yeast in the nose with some vinegar, acetate, tart fruit, and red berry slickness in the taste. Pleasing to the tongue, the taste forced me to slow down on this as the initial reaction that I had was easier to enjoy than the fruit and barrel aging would allow me to savor. It took a bit of adjusting to that as I swallowed my sips but overall, this was something I savored as it warmed up, as I warmed up to it.

Plenty of booze in this one but you wouldn't know it with the lively carbonation and muddled mouthfeel of this. Not a bad beer but more of an oddity than anything else, as this felt like a Sour Ale or a Fruit / Vegetable beer than something Belgian in nature. Props to KCBC for the sick label and interesting liquid inside of the bottle - it's nice to push things past the limits once in a while!
