Picked this up when it was released earlier this year, as I enjoyed the other variations of this series. Unfortunately, this did not measure up to those as the choice of hops were quite odd and the mouthfeel never warmed me over - even after this fully warmed up. Sure, it *was* different than the others that I've had but that didn't mean that it was worth combining these two together and aside from the appearance, this didn't have a whole lot going for it...
The appearance of this wasn't bad - cloudy, golden, and somewhat hazy and honey-toned. Enough fluffy head topped this off as it took a while to settle and the amount of lacing left behind was quite copious with a few of the rings settled down to the next. Lots of vegetables, Ekuanot hops, and urine in the somewhat offsetting nose as this felt a bit skunked and disconcerting. The taste was a bit livelier thanks to the Goldpils coming into effect but the brightness of that wasn't enough to counteract the dank and skunky undertone to this. Basic malt and some grassy, sour notes combined to make this feel more like an IPL than an IPA as the hoppiness was just too strange to fully appreciate...
Thankfully, there wasn't a lot of alcohol here as the flavors were allow to come through, although that's not what I wanted in something such as this. A bit of citrus slickness was enough to save this from being a total loss but the rating on here indicated that the hint of tangerine cream that I felt was not enough to save this from a loftier rating. Canned on 1/26 of this year with "ROBOT #9" written above it, this was worth a go once if you've had the others in the series; just to see how good they were compared to this!

Pours a nice fluffy head decent lacing and retention, slight hazy mostly clear golden pilsner color
Nose really grassy floral dank musty, super dank and a little vegetal, pine, faint fruit but barely, creamy malt
Taste starts with a ton more dank musty vegetal not so pleasant hops, maybe some fruit and tropical somewhere but hard to get through the dank musty mess, soft malt, mineral chalky too, mild bitterness increasing a bit on the finish
Mouth is med to light bod, fair carb and bit of softness
Overall not great, don't know much about coldpils but ekuanot is not usually this terrible
