Intruders Attack! - Kings County Brewers Collective
DDH DIPA - 8.6% abv
Canned 5/4/18 (23 days ago)
Purchased for $6 at Threes’ Bottle Shop

L - 3-finger offwhite fizzy head atop a translucent orange body.

S - candied citrus, pine, a bit of herbal, gym socks.

T - strange. Oranges that have been stuffed inside a sweaty sock and hung on the mantle to appease an elderly fat man that never comes. Piney middle, with some cheese and herb. Mild bitterness, no sweetness, mild booziness.

F - medium body and carb.

O - dig the can art, but I’m 0/2 now on these KCBC IPAs. They have a strange (off) cheesy taste to them that leave you not wanting another.

A: The beer is very hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a half finger high off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of honeydew melon are present in the nose along with notes of limes, mangos, and papayas, the latter two of which become stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of mangos and papayas without a hint of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No crispness is perceptible.
O: This Imperial IPA has a nice blend of hops that contribute interesting aromas and flavors. It is also extremely easy to drink because any traces of alcohol are well hidden from the taste.
