Pours a hazy yellow/orange color. Towards the end of the pour, from the bottle, a turbid liquid that looks like hops sediment appears. A modest head quickly dissipates.
Juicy aromas hit the nose evoking tropical fruit like guava and mango, as well as citrus pith, mainly grapefruit. This is accompanied by a hint of grass, pine and peppery spice. I’m also picking up a hint of a buttery aroma.
Big juicy flavors of guava, mango, tangerine and grapefruit. Little bitterness at first, although a light amount sets in later. A peppery spice sets in later that kicks in strongly, perhaps too much so. There is an intensely tangy citrus zest finish that creates a burn.
Medium bodied with a gentle carbonation. Juicy and frothy mouthfeel that becomes spicy. There is a bit of alcohol warming.
I generally love KCBC, however, some of these flavors felt intense and unbalanced.

A: The beer poured out of the can looking like orange juice as it is cloudy yellowish orange in color. There was only a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a minuscule collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of peppery spices and guava are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of peppery spices and stone fruit along with notes of guava. No bitterness is discernible.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be very spicy for an IPA—it's nothing quite like what I had expected. It was an interesting change of pace.
