Dragonfruit vitwater color. Tart cherry juice, oak, cran-bran muffins. Raspberry juice flavors accentuated by vanilla tannin, and a woodsy depth that naturally enhances the fruit sweetness. Light bodies, crisp-dry finish.

there must have been multiple fruited versions of this vital juices beer, because when we were in it wasnt the apricots and tangerines listed here, it was strawberries, and the beer was amazing, one of our favorites from the visit. cool they got together with perennial, that should help to put them on the map, if they arent already, they certainly deserve their place on it! this is a barrel aged tart brew with lots of wood and funk coming through on it, seems mature for how fresh the fruit obviously is in here. there is something that strawberries always do in woody wild beer that i just love, they turn almost medicinal, even as a whole and natural fruit thing, and it gives a lambic-esque property to the beer, and thats the case here too, i doubt this level of yeast depth or apparent complexity appeared in the tangerine apricot version, although i would love to try that one too. there is just a flash of jammy sweetness from the fruit, a red wine note to it and some tannins mixed in, a wheaty base, and a sharp acidity along with the bretty funk, a nice mix of both elements on the fermentation side. nice carbonation and high drinkability for a beer like this too. overall really nicely done, these guys deserve more attention for their beers, all of them were impressive when we were in. this one should maybe have a separate listing for the different fruited variants...

375ml capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Great goldenrod color. Near no head. Nose is passion fruit and tart peach. A light acidity with a hint of lemon zest brightness. Nice, straightforward and juicy. Beer opens tart. Hints of citrus fruit, tart peach/apricot and a light oakiness. There's some acidity but its softened by a stone fruit meat sweetness. A foamy funk also fades in and out. This gets less tart as it lingers on the palate, revealing layers of fruit flavor. Pretty good. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate does down down aggressive and filmy with a lingering finish. Nice and light.

As far as the style goes, this is pretty good. Many American Wild Ales tend to be very very sour, hindering any chance of revealing the fruit flavors underneath. This is less so and showcases the stone fruit presence nicely. Worth trying.
