The final chapter in our Intruder series. Pours opaque yellow-gold in the glass, overloaded with tropical melon & mango, fresh squeezed orange & grapefruit juice, and green hop zing! Double dry hopped with copious amounts of Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot hops. A bit of creaminess, a bit of bitterness. Scary drinkable. The beast has been slain… at least for now...

For the second beer from KCBC, I went with the DIPA. Triple IPA I drank was more malt heavy and the hops went into hiding. This beer is 46 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour of the beer produced a monster two-fingered head with excellent retention. The bright white foamy, creamy, and airy head left lacing on the glass as it dissipated. The color of the beer is SRM 4 a pale straw with a rich golden hue. This beer is hazy. The overall appearance of this beer is excellent.
The initial aroma of the beer is pine resin, grapefruit, oranges, and floral. Nosing further in the glass I get biscuits, crackers, earthiness, and a hint of floral. Lastly, I detect, pineapple, lemons, and dewy wet grass.
The flavors in the beer are orange, grapefruit, a hint of pine needles, pineapple guava, lemons, floral esters, biscuit, lightly toasted bread, dank basement, wet grass, earthiness, honey-like sweetness, band-aids.
The mouthfeel is creamy yet crisp and slick.
The body of the beer is medium-plus, medium-low carbonation, and fuller finish.
This IPA is odd to me, it comes across as a hybrid of sorts. I get the wonderful New England IPA flavors with West coast hops intertwining. A load of hops was used for this beer I get that oily/slick coating on the mouthfeel. Lots of floral and herbal flavors with just a smidge of pine and grapefruit. Not a fan of this IPA. It is good, I just do not care for the flavor profile.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a hazy orange yellow, with a solid finger of white head that leaves thin lines of lace behind. 4.5
Smell is guava, papaya, pineapple, tangerine, and some grapefruit rind. 4.25
Taste follows guava, papaya, pineapple, upfront with some tangerine and grapefruit rind in the extremely balanced finish. 4.5
Mouthfeel is pretty big, soft on the palate, a touch sticky but not really dry, and at 9% ABV this stuff goes down insanely easy. 4.5
Overall this is a great beer that a local friend gave me that I had never even heard of, but this a excellent NEDIPA! 4.25

Again, another great comics label. Peach juice aspect with a thick head with medium retention.
Nice aroma with lots of dank notes and stone fruit, tangerines, mango and passion fruit.
Very nice fruity flavor with notes of cantaloupe melon, pine, dank resin, peaches, mango, fresh oranges, ginger, white pepper, effervescent C vitamin wheat and berries. Dry aftertaste with one of the cleanest bitterness I had.
Medium velvety body with perfect carbonation. I can’t believe this is 9% abv.
This brew really surprised me. This is well better than the Bombay Bling and is at least at the same class of the top NE Double IPAs. Hard to tell I had something better for the style (for aroma I did). Original flavor (in the small details) that really combined well with my palate. Great mix of tropical, citrus, spices and dank notes. This is the most drinkable DIPA ticking at 9%abv that I ever had. Try to get a fresh exemplar. Recommendable.

Tall can, w/o canning date info that I can find.
Hazed up juice bomb, NEIPA kinda pour
Dank and fruity sniff.
Big, bold, juicy, freshly tropical, dank and pretty darn delicious.
I get ripe pineapple, some oranges, light lime....worthy take on the red hot style...well worth a try.

Hazed medium-gold body under a finger-plus of white head... Lots of bright citrus on this one - grapefruit, lemon, orange, and lime notes all percolate and circulate, adding lots of tang and zest and pith... I'm also getting green, unripe mango skin and hard, bitter melon... The sharpness keeps it from being too juicy, lending a taut "green" character and feel, and there is enough bittering to keep it from being too sweet - its actually more bitter and tangy than sweet... Medium-light feel, tingly and edgy with a clean finish... Features Citra, mosaic, and Ekuanot hops, and Maris Otter, wheat, and flaked wheat malts... 10/9/18 can release...

L - 1-finger sparse white head recedes rapidly, leaving behind a milky yellow body.
S - herb, grapefruit, orange.
T - grapefruit, melon, and orange with some dank. Moderate-low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - decent, but hop flavors don’t compete with nearby neighbors.

A: The beer is cloudy whitish dark yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that left a large thin patch of bubbles on the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of mangos and honeydew melon are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but seems to have more melons than mangos with some additional hints of orange citrus. Only a light amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is quite drinkable for an Imperial IPA and hides any traces of alcohol from the taste.
