Imperial Chocolate Stout // Collaboration with Seven Island Brewery
Mega coco-bomb pastry stout, with cacao nibs, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans, and lactose. Bakers chocolate, molasses and burnt caramel on the nose, with layers of creamy vanilla, rich-n-chewy fudge, and a touch of plum on the finish. Beastly, smooth, and scary drinkable.

Served in a 4 oz (120 ml) taster glass at the KCBC Brewery.
A: Pours a rich, black color with a one finger, milk chocolate brown head, retention only to a rim, but some spidery lacing.
S: Aromas of chocolate, cappuccino, vanilla, and molasses predominate.
T: Sweet and clearly from lactose sugar. Flavors resemble the nose, but solid bitterness, offsets the sweetness nicely. Not boozy at all.
M: Full bodied with solid carbonation. Creamy resembling the consistency of cappuccino on the palate.
O: A complex, enjoyable, and very approachable Russian Imperial (milk) Stout.

Appearance is very dark brown with a moderate dark tan head. Head has average retention and minimal lacing. The aroma is dark roasts and chocolate. Taste follows the nose, really prominent chocolate, then vanilla and a moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied with slight alcohol warming.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger and a half high dark tan colored head that died down, leaving a short head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of chocolate and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is very chocolatey, both in the smell and that taste. It does a very good job at masking its alcohol and tastes nothing like something that is 10.5% abv.
