A new iteration brewed especially for Veterans Day, featuring the 2018 Veterans Blend of hops from Yakima Chief (Mosaic, Simcoe, Cashmere, Ekuanot and Centennial) for juicy aromas & flavors of tropical pineapple, lemon-lime Sprite, green melon and spicy pine. $3 from every lb. of 2018 Veterans Blend hops used by brewers across the country will be donated to the Semper Fi fund. To all the men & women who have served in the armed forces (including our own Pete Lengyel, a USMC veteran), we’d like to say thank you.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color—too hazy to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving some wisps of lacing on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of cantaloupe melons are present in the nose along with notes of mangos and hints of pineapples.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of cantaloupe melon and has hints of papayas and pineapples. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This blend of hops has a very interesting fruity profile, and I particularly liked the aromas and flavors of melons in it.

On tap at The Ginger Man in New York City.
Pours a hazy yellow with fine, wispy head.
Smell is juicy and tropical with notes of pineapple, lime, and passionfruit.
Taste is juicy and fairly light with notes of mango, lime, lemon and pineapple, followed by a pretty light bitterness. Despite its lightness it hides the ABV very well.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice, drinkable IPA.
