Collaboration with Fair State Brewing Cooperative
The cinnamon sugar mini-doughnuts at the Minnesota State Fair are both legendary and delicious. It seemed only fitting that we throw more than 100 lbs into our collab brew with our buds from Minnesota, along with a healthy dose of Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans and Indonesian cinnamon. This chewy, roasty warrior features layers of chocolate/coffee flavors, hidden booziness, and remarkable balance. Rich & robust. No lactose.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short tan head that left just a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of coffee beans and cinnamon are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of dark, bitter chocolate and coffee along with notes of cinnamon and hints of doughnuts and licorice.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that this beer would have been sweeter from the doughnuts, but these were overshadowed by spicy cinnamon. It did, however, drink very easily as any traces of alcohol were well hidden from the taste.
Serving type: can

I'd eat (drink) it for breakfast, or be convinced that it could be (although lacking the balance of what a well-rounded one should be). Cinn-sugar spice, coffee shop aroma, chicory New Orleans coffee. Chocolate munchkins ...if rolled in cinnamon. Espresso flavor and fruity background...cherry, guava, tangerine.
