10 August 2020 - Beer #162
Price: $5.99 at Clinton Gourmet Corp. in Manhattan
Appearance: 5 - translucent blood orange with a pale pink head. Attractive.
Nose: 4 - plenty of fruit, not terribly sour. Smells like one-a them pastry sours.
Taste: 4 - very sour upfront, but not much flavor. Really shines on the back end when the sourness recedes and the fruit comes through.
Mouth: 5 - super bubbly and effervescent. Oo, there's the fruit in the back end again, haha! Fairly thick.
Overall: 4 - a fun sour for sure. I've heard good things about the movies too. Will have to check those out.
Cheers!

L: Pulpy beet red, completely opaque. About a finger of a rose-colored head with decent amounts of lacing.
S: Berries dominate the aroma. Raspberry, boysenberry and strawberry are all detectible.
T: Just as fruity and jammy as the aroma would lend. Raspberry and boysenberry dominate with minimal strawberry. The finish, surprisingly, is owned by the apricot that carries over to the after taste alongside the raspberry. Very nice flavor with mild wheat-like foundation.
F: Medium in body and weight. Creamy texture, moderate carbonation. No booze presence, as expected.
O: I am equally impressed as I am enjoying this. It is delicious and the can art is worth taking a nice gander at, too. I am very glad to try, and I look forward to trying more from KCBC. Cheers!
