A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a half finger high dark tan head that brightened to a lighter shade of tan as it died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with hints of vanilla; these become a bit stronger as the beer begins to warm up.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of dark malts along with hints of cocoa nibs, vanilla and roasted malts. There is also a touch of sweetness and lactose.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seemed to be lighter in body compared to what I would have expected for a beer of this style, which I assume was from the use of oats in the malt bill. It also did a very good job at hiding any traces of alcohol from the taste.

16 oz can
Pours opaque black, dark tan head is finely textured and dissipates to a bit of lacing.
Aroma of cocoa, vanilla, caramel, biscuit, and hazelnut.
Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, pecan, coffee bean, and brownie.
Full body, creamy texture, with tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Very tasty and sweet imperial stout. Rich, very smooth, slow drinking. Not as sweet as some "dessert" stouts but definitely flavorful on the chocolate side. Would have again.

Quite a nice imperial stout from a brewery that’s new to me. 12/12/19 date printed on can. Pours a nice slightly sludgy dark black opaque color with just a little film of tan head and scant to no lingering lacing. Smells of dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, roasted nuts and malt. Taste follows the nose, good depth and richness and very tasty. Higher ABV was definitely present but the beer didn’t have to be slowly sipped. Smooth sticky rich mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation. Almost chewy, very pleasant. I enjoyed this one!

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/12/2019. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, molasses, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, toffee, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, wood, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity or dark/black/roast/bready malts, cocoa, vanilla, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, molasses, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, toffee, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, wood, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, molasses, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, dark bread/crust, licorice, toffee, dark fruit, smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, wood, herbal, grass, peppercorn, pine, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, cocoa, vanilla, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and very full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, fairly sticky/chalky, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 12%, with minimal booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial milk stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/black/roast/bready malts, cocoa, vanilla, lactose, and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the modestly bitter/charred/drying finish; great soft/silky feel for the ABV, and not overly aggressive. Awesome balance of super rich malt, cocoa nibs, vanilla, and lactose flavors; with nice earthy hop presence and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. A bit too bitter/drying than expected, but not overwhelming. No complaints otherwise.
