Clearly it’s not retired as my can was canned on 03/03/21; it pours cloudy yellow/orange which was as opaque as guava juice. It had a whipped foamy 2 finger thick head that faded very slowly and left really good lacing. Smells of tangerine, orange peel, lime, honeydew melon, some floral notes, piney hops, biscuit, white bread toast and faint peppery spices.
Flavor had stronger citrus aspects with the additions of orange juice, grapefruit, apricot and then the same lineup as the aroma. This brew hides the 8% ABV well and is very well balanced, going down easy with a bitterness level that’s spot on and a medium level of carbonation. The dry hopping is evident in the aftertaste, leaving tea leaf and grassy flavors.
