We are beyond thrilled to bring you this very special KCBC release: ALL TOGETHER IPA. It’s a worldwide collaborative brewing project, conceived of and hosted by our super rad buddies at Other Half Brewing Company. The goal: To raise awareness and support for hospitality workers in these difficult times. As I’m sure y’all know, it’s been absolutely brutal out there for restaurants and bars—especially here in NYC.

Lush OJ haze in the glass, with tons of tropical-n-citrus fruit flavors throughout (Peach, Lemon, Pineapple & Tangerine). Hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe & Cascade, with a smooth base of flaked oats & barley. Fermented moderately dry with our house Kveik yeast for increased crushability.

Canned 4/16. This pretty mellow, mostly minty melon. The finish is dry and there isn't a lot going on. Great cause but the beer is just okay unfortunately.

This was the fourth iteration of All Together that I was able to obtain and review on here and the first beer from KCBC that I had in quite a long time. It showed off the oats and barley nicely as this was a full-bodied beer but it could have had just a bit more flavor to it, although it grew on me as it warmed up!

Good pour to this as the golden hue was softly hazy, bright, and just a bit radiant with a quietly sufficient head topping it off. A few well-defined rings lined the middle of my pint glass although there weren't terribly thick or uniform. The aroma could have been bolder as it was full of Mosaic and Simcoe dankness with lots of oats and spelt in the mix as well. Tangerine pith, fleshy peach, and turbid stone fruit were all in the mix as this had a heavy-handed taste to it. What made that odd was the offsetting smoothness of the mouthfeel that allowed this to easily go down as the Citra gave this the slickness that kept it from feeling heavy-handed.

Like the other versions of this, there wasn't a lot of booze here and there was just enough carbonation to keep this light and enjoyable. This was a fun beer that may have been a bit too exotic for some but was what I'd expect from KCBC since I've had so many of the other offerings over the years. Nothing was stamped on the bottom of the can but this held up well over the last month or two as there was no sediment to be seen in the liquid. A minty, forest aftertaste left me wanting more as this was a tamer version of the Interboro take on this. Dated 4/16 on on the lower right-hand corner of the label, I love how the design on it turned out but the liquid on the inside could have been so much more with a few tweaks!

A: The beer is very hazy to cloudy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left some patches of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of gooseberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and is dominated by flavors of gooseberries along with notes of lime and hints of mango, stone fruit, and pineapple.
M: It feels medium-bodied and very juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has an incredibly juicy mouthfeel. The taste seems to be a little one dimensional but the taste is more well rounded out with a variety of flavors.
